Parking for Dunham Massey we usually head around to Little Bollington and find a street spot then walk over, meaning we get to cross the river bridge into the grounds.
At the moment the car park, the deer park and the gardens are OPEN at Dunham Massey, which means you can still enjoy a leisurely walk around this tranquil area no matter what Tier we’re in.
Paths take you leisurely around and at whatever pace suits you, the walk is flat and circular with plenty of deer to stop you in your tracks.
There’s a range of different walks available for you to do, from a walk amongst the wild flowers, to a stroll with the deer. One of our favourites though is the ‘Ancient Trees Walk‘ where you can take in one of the finest collections of veteran trees in England, as well as taking in everything else the grounds offer.
The house and gardens are impressive, if you’re looking to fit it all in leave plenty of your afternoon free and I can highly recommend the ice-cream.
Dunham Massey is great as a group or family, it’s easily accessible and offers plenty of scope for an interesting afternoon out in the countryside, without needing all the “gear”.
