Albert’s Schloss Stages Tour De Schloss Grand Finale This Sunday

Albert’s Schloss will officially mark the end of the Le Tour de France and their very own cycling month, staging Le Grand Finale ride-out with riders tackling the 22km illustrious Tour de Schloss route.

The world’s most famous cycling race, Tour de France, will see a dramatic end on the 29th July as riders enter Paris to complete a lap of honour across the Champs-Élysées with one rider entering Paris victorious in the yellow jersey.

Inspired by the classic cycling routes of continental Europe, Albert’s Schloss created the Tour de Schloss, an exclusive 22km cycling route designed for all ages and abilities.

A delightful weekend activity for the whole family to enjoy, to cycle the Tour de Schloss, simply download Strava and join the Albert’s Radlers cycling club which will act as your cicerone, guiding you as you enjoy the illustrious cycling route in the great outdoors.

The Bier Palace will stage a very special finale on Sunday 29th July, seeing cycling enthusiasts, adventure seekers, comrades and families alike invited to ride the 22km Tour de Schloss route around the city.

 On Sunday 29th July, participants from all walks of life are invited to cycle the Tour de Schloss route to pay tribute to the end of the Tour de France, departing from Schloss at 9 am. Remaining true to classic cycling culture, sausage sandwiches & espressos will be handed out at 8:30 am before riders depart, plus a free bike servicing pop-up.

Upon your return, reward yourself with a refreshing Radler on das Haus (shakes and kronuts for kids). Albert’s Schloss will be transformed into a cycling hub with the beautiful 1987 Gold Plated Raleigh Centenary bike on display, plus exclusive cycling pop-up from Rapha.

The Bier Palace will also have outdoor railings for parking bikes, allowing riders to enjoy a leisurely post-ride afternoon watching the Tour de France live on the big screen whilst feasting on a delicious Schloss Sunday roast and treated to the finest entertainment.

Brother UK, based in Manchester continues to be at the forefront of elite cycling, as the official results partner of the UK’s major cycling races. Led by Managing Director, Phil Jones MBE, who will go on to ride the entire route of the Tour of Britain this September, one day ahead of the elite professional riders.

Jones will ride with cancer survivor, James Golding, the world record holder for the greatest distance ridden in seven days, in pursuit of an ambitious fundraising target of £50,000 for the Dave Rayner Fund, a voluntary organisation that supports young British riders racing abroad. Lending his beloved Raleigh Centenary bike to Schloss for the weekend, Jones is also looking for donations to the cause – those interested can visit www.daveraynerfund.co.uk or donate in Schloss from the 27th – 29th July.

Albert’s Schloss has also launched an exclusive competition for the best photo along the Tour de Schloss route, with a trip to Prague for two people including flights, B&B and brewery tour up for grabs. To enter, riders are asked to tag their route photo on Instagram with #TourdeSchloss and #grandtourmcr from the 8th – 29th July.

The Grand Tour continues at Albert’s Schloss, bringing the grandeur of a European summer, embracing the great outdoors – complete with daily entertainment, cook Haus and Alpine-inspired cocktail menus and sommer biers.
