Expect beautiful streetfood from award nominated operators (think chicken burgers, lamb shawarma kebabs, seafood and stunning steak sarnies!), craft beer and glorious sunshine in the city’s spectacular summer hang out space.

Toria Garbutt’s unique blend of pure punk heritage and unapologetic spoken word confession make her one of the most vital and visceral poetic voices in the country.

She is now special guest to John Cooper Clarke on his live show which tours the country and she has performed at some of the most prestigious theatres in the UK. She has appeared at numerous festivals (Latitude, Glastonbury, Festival Number 6 ) and released an album of her work set  to music in 2016 (Hot Plastic Moon –  Nymph and Thugs.)

Toria is hosting a reading upstairs in Takk at Hatch to launch her first published poetry collection ‘The Universe and Me’. There are limited spaces at the event, but anyone who would like to come along can email maya@siobhanhanley.com to get see if they can get a space on the guestlist.

Toria’s very special spoken word performance will be followed by a gig on the courtyard from 5 piece Liverpool psych-pop outfit Peach Fuzz. Recently signed to Skeleton Key, they’ll be bringing their unique blend of hazy cosmic jive to Hatch, providing the perfect soundtrack to a balmy, urban summer celebration of creativity!

Peach Fuzz will be playing in the courtyard from 8 pm. The gig will be free to attend.

The Universe and Me is out now on Wrecking Ball Press priced at £10 and available at wreckingballpress.com as well as at live shows.
