La Discotheque launched into the Manchester disco scene with a massive bang of confetti cannons and a spectacular show at Albert Hall in November 2016, along with a stellar line up and an incredible crowd. Spreading the love across the dance floor straight into 2017, Albert Hall has announced it will host La Discotheque’s New Years Eve party.
Topping the bill is soul legend Candi Staton, who will perform all of her disco anthems including the spine tingling “You Got The Love” and Manchester born Irfan Rainy will host the VIP Bell Tower.
In true La Discotheque style, Chicago House veteran Derrick Carter will showcase his special “Derrick Does Disco” set and lead vocalist from Hot Chip – Alexis Taylor – has been announced to perform an electrifying Prince Tribute set, expect a whirlwind through the iconic singer’s greatest hits and dance floor fillers.
After an outstanding performance at La Discotheque in November, the UK’s finest disco operators Horse Meat Disco are back to play on New Year’s Eve, along with Krystal Klear, PBR Streetgang and Luv Dancin’ will be adding some more disco beats.
La Discotheque curator Kat Warburton said: “Be prepared for an astonishing New Year’s Eve night hosted over by this glorious line up of La Discotheque friends and family, all beneath giant mirror balls and spectacular cascades of glittered confetti.”
