From Wythenshawe to Warehouse Project, Parklife to the Piccadilly Rats, we pulled up a pew in the stunning Winter Garden at The Refuge, sampled their new menu and chewed the fat on life. We also got an insight into how it actually is organising and running the city’s biggest and best events.

Between courses of Smoked Feta and Beetroot dip, Sake-cured Salmon and Lamb Tagine Meatballs there was talk of barms and cobs, running a night in the Hacienda, funerals and even Jason Orange’s twin brother.

Inevitably the subject turned to the Warehouse Project, as well as the colossal endeavor that is Parklife – getting 80,000 people into Heaton Park and ensuring they all have a good (and safe) time. It’s now the country’s biggest metropolitan festival and continues to top their line-ups year upon year.
