It’s now the 32nd UNESCO World Heritage Site in the UK, joining such places as the Lake District, Stonehenge and Blenheim Palace and has been recognised for its role in transforming our understanding of the Universe.

Jodrell Bank is of course also home to the upcoming bluedot Festival – a family-friendly science, music, arts and cultural event which attracts 30,000 festivalgoers and more than 800 of the globe’s greatest scientists, minds and thinkers.
This year sees headliners Kraftwerk, New Order and Hot Chip perform alongside an incredible science and arts bill – all in the shadow of the hugely impressive Lovell Telescope.
