It seems that in the past five years, people are more obsessed with hummus than ever. And you know what? I can’t blame them.
Hummus is fantastic. It makes a delicious snack, a tremendous side, or if you are extremely lazy like me, one of the most satisfying dinners around when paired with a few toasted pita breads.
Who knew that blended chickpeas with a bit of tahini, olive oil and garlic could ever taste so good? I guess those geniuses in the Middle East – but I am SO glad someone had the bright idea to bring it over here.
Did you know that we love hummus so much that we have even given its own special day of celebration? No really, we have!
This year, National Hummus Day falls on Monday 13th May– and our favourite NQ gourmet kebab joint BAB are joining in the celebrations. They are giving away FREE HUMMUS with every BAB all day long so you can join in the fun.
All you have to do is come on down for lunch or dinner, order your favourite BAB and you and your table can tuck into some of their deliciously authentic hummus topped with pistachio dukkah with some of their signature flatbreads for dipping.
