Hampton & Voúis: Manchester's Newest Independent Coffee House & Kitchen

Morning. At the moment I don't think anyone can satisfy this city's insatiable appetite for top quality independent venues, but it seems like new speciality coffee house Hampton & Voúis are going to give it a bloody good try with their new venture over on Princess Street.

Directly opposite the splendour of the Town Hall, Hampton & Voúis pride themselves on their cafe and artisan kitchen vibe, featuring an extensive Brunch menu alongside cakes, pastries, sandwiches, coffee, tea and many more delicious morsels that you can eat while tapping away at your laptop or reading a Manchester’s Finest magazine.

Starting on the hot drinks, the house coffee blend is hand-roasted by Buxton Roastery and their tea selection features the kind of options that would make Mrs. Doyle fall off the windowsill again. Supplied by Manchester’s Brew Tea Co, the gang are keeping it local and providing a choice of Moroccan Mint, Fruit Punch, Earl Grey, English Breakfast & Decaffeinated.

Food-wise and you’re going to have to spend around 10 minutes on Instagram before you tuck in –  because it looks sublime. Offering a variety of fresh natural dishes inspired by British and Mediterranean cuisine, you can expect the likes of a Poached Eggs on Sourdough with Prosciutto, Minted Peas & Goats Cheese, a bit of fresh with a Blood Orange, Baby Beetroot, Goats Cheese & Quinoa Salad, and a lovely looking Tricolore Salad with Tomato, Avocado, Mozzarella and Poached Eggs. On top of this, they also offer a range of daily lunchtime meat, veggie and vegan options.

They also serve up a range of baked goods supplied by TROVE, so you know you’re not going to be able to resist a little treat, as well as a selection of cakes which will most likely be vegan – so everybody can get involved.

Hampton & Voúis is open now.
