It’s not often that I get to write something up about Salford, but in the last six months there’s been a fair few new additions to the area – which is absolutely fantastic news if you ask me.
It’s also not often that I get to write something about MediaCity, a part of Salford which rarely sees much in the way of new bars, pubs or venues – but again, has seen a recent influx of great operators, from Bada Bing to the brand-new General Stores.
Another exciting addition to MediaCity is Marble’s Brewery – a colossal building set in an innocuous-looking industrial estate just a short walk from the main TV buildings, or an even shorter walk off Eccles New Road (and the Langworthy Tram Stop).
The Brewery and Tap Room have actually been open since the end of September, offering up the freshest Marble brews straight out of the tank and into the tap (and then your gob) – on most weekends.
COVID-19 obviously put a dampener on any plans of opening much throughout 2020, and so this year has seen the Marble team re-launch – with more seating (including outdoors) and a brand-new purpose build wood-fired pizza oven – because who doesn’t want pizza with their beer?!
The Tap Room is now a fully-fledged destination on the weekends, with ample space inside and out, fantastic food and live music plus game nights, spoken word and even brewery tours and beer tastings.
Also, if you have yourself a ticket for an event nearby, perhaps it’s a game at United, or a theatre ticket from The Lowry, they’ll give you any pint plus a pizza for just £10!
Be sure to head on down and check this place out, it’s brilliant. They accept walk-ins but it’s probably best to book a table – it can get quite busy on the weekend.
